LaCie Black Max media monster

LaCie was flaunting the appealing monolithic cubism of disks lately, courtesy of chic designer Neil Poulton, and those who are one step further, Black Max, a home-theater-video-streaming player and recorder with bite in them. Insert this ominous underlit not-all-Box in your home network, and like a good little server that they are all video, audio and images into your network and offers them for your information, directly to your HDTV.
The best news is the versatility of Black Max, with the power to the playback of 1080p files, the Smarts, your favorite video like a TiVo, and the ability to decipher the clever pirate-friendly Matroska (mkv)-Video format in all its 1080p glory. The file compatibility list reads like a Manhattan telephone book, it is so large (see it after the jump). Available with 500 GB or 1 TB of internal storage space at an unknown price, too bad this bad boy will only be available in Europe.
