
The new TG5V (or TG7 in Europe) is a successor of the Sony Handycam TG1. Weighing at 230 grams and measuring 30mm x 117mm x 62mm, the camcorder is now lighter and smaller than its predecessor.
The camera offers 16 GB of internal memory (or 6hours of video recording), a 30mm wide-angle, a new Exemor and BIONZ image processor for recording in low light, and new coating for the camera to prevent scratches.
An integrated GPS antenna, NAVTEQ maps can be used to automatically geo-tag videos or pictures to make a record of the exact location. The Sony Handycam TG5V is in Japan, 20 April onward journey
