You may have noticed that people are already Garmin announced via press release of their latest GPS Clock – the Forerunner 110. The Clock is focused on the mainstream runners – which means that the target group is not really someone like me who put in hard-training day in and day out. Its feature set is focused on the things that want more casual runners: A lot of memory, so you do not have to over the uploading of data, easy to use interface (no touch ring) and basic GPS tracking route – uploading to the web-based Garmin Connect worries. From the new spring chicken rotor position, this looks rather like an ideal place to get the GPS Clock game.
This clock is definitely a runner to see. It is not see a triathlete, or a running clock will be to see a bike. It is also not a beginner to see who wants to be everything, but not afford to be something. It does run, and run only.
The Forerunner 110 is, in fact, with heart rate-based algorithms, to determine calories burned – something introduced last year to some of the other watch was. This is good as it more closely to the calorie calculations – the key to “fit in that bikini Speedo” crowd helps (and I, were we honest, I just want to eat cupcakes all day).

The main objective of this clock to a baseline product that does not offer GPS. As such, it meets this requirement. It records your way to the title and the associated HR (along with speed, etc …) and then invites them to Garmin Connect. Garmin Connect is compatible with this new clock, based on earlier development work. It is also compatible with Garmin Training Center, which is good news for 3rd party developers means because it means it likely uses the rather standard. FIT file format that other software developers to device data, without their apps means pull recode.
The unit is 200 hours, before holding activities must synchronize with your computer (or deleting data), so clearly it against a group that is not likely to rush home and synchronization with the computer 18 seconds after entering their homes door.
One of the first things I really noticed is the lack of touch ring (like 405). It seems Garmin away with this Clock that – is possible for the most simplistic design. The Touch Ring was pretty much love it or hate it feature type. I personally was not on the love of life is with him, particularly on user friendliness. So I’m glad to see they’ve kept up with the KISS design.
From a collection perspective, they are to be used further ahead with the pre-contact charging system on the Garmin 310XT and 405 watches, the beautiful. They have also increased over the life of the battery, the Forerunner 405 – up to 3 weeks from 2 weeks.

The biggest complaint most people have about the Forerunner 305 and 310XT’s is their size. The people want a hamster as Clock not to look like the wrists bound. And while to get used to run most of the people, the size after about two minutes, it is still a barrier to entry.
The Forerunner 110 takes the same form factor as the FR60 Watch (which I love), and simply adds GPS (albeit from a few additional features). For people sitting around a running shoe store look in the showcase of toys at the bar, with a clock that looks appealing is the key.
