
If you ever wondered what the colorful creations born of the EA gaming Spore Universe might look like in the real robot form, you need look no further than Yoichiro Kawaguchi ‘s prototype robot to mimic the organic shapes in nature.
Far from the sterile geometrically robots we are accustomed Kawaguchi, the robots are, to a primitive intuitive level with biomimetic actuators like tentacles and claws, the robot through the real world. The current models are only the beginning, Kawaguchi-team hopes that fully functional versions of the robot, which is around two years.

Takara Tomy is one of the few companies that tend to impress with every version of the product, and the same goes for the latest addition to its stable of robots – the Robo-Q. This bipedal robot is extremely small, measuring no larger than your thumb, but it has enough intelligence to receive and interpret commands from a remote control. The brilliant folks at Takara Tomy have even thrown an obstacle in software, so that they will be able to get without tripping over too often.
