Sugar on a Stick v2 brings OLPC interface to any netbook

Sugar is the custom Linux OS user interface designed for the OLPC XO laptop. Sugar On A Stick is a project that allows the execution of sugar from a USB flash drive, no XO laptop. I checked out the first time Sugar On A Stick at the beginning of this year when it was still a bit rough around the edges. But the Netbook World Summit in Paris today, Walter Bender, Sugar Labs CEO Sugar On A Stick version is 2.0.

The new version is) with the code name Blue Berry (the Strawberry one step from the previous release. It is based on Fedora 12 built and contains a few new tricks, like support for Flash. There is also a new version of Open Office 4 Kids, which is a stripped down version of OpenOffice.org.It also includes improved wireless networking simple keyboard configuration, and updated versions of the programs that were with earlier versions.

ASUS now shipping 12.1-inch Eee PC in the US

ASUS 12.1-inch Netbook Eee PC 1201HA is available now. The netbook includes a 1.33 GHz Intel Atom processor and integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics and 1 GB of RAM. The 160 GB hard drive contains Windows XP Home.

The resolution is largely responsible for a Netbook to 1366×768, which together with most other data with the 11.6-inch Eee PC 1101HA. Otherwise, there is a built-in Ethernet port, Wi-Fi-and six-cell battery that should last from 5.5 to 7 hours. A 1.3-megapixel camera, three USB ports and a multi-card reader are also included.

Rumor: Dell readying a Pine Trail-based Mini 10

The Nokia 3G booklet not even started shipping in the U.S. yet, but Nokia is reportedly looking in the introduction, an updated version of the netbook next year. Digitimes cites a Chinese-language news outlet in which said Nokia’s production partner Compal, is keeping up with demand overtime for the first netbook from Nokia.

There is no word which features an updated brochure could. But I would not be surprised to see one of these newfangled Nokia beat Pine Trail Intel processors in there. The next generation Atom CPU combine chips, graphics and memory controller onto a single chip, which helps to save energy. The current version of the Nokia 3G booklet uses the Intel Atom Z530 processor, which uses less power than the Atom N270 chip in most netbooks. But the Z5xx of chips are generally slower than the N2xx processor family.

Hewlett-Packard announced a new mini-PC Netbook for students and professionals. The HP Mini 5101 is a top-of-the-line Mini-PC for people who are stylish, but durable companion PC is fully operational. The Netbook has a sturdy, lightweight aluminum housing display with a black, brushed surface. What’s more, but also proud of a “special position” of the keyboard. It has a Spill-resistant keyboard is that 95 percent of the size of a full QWERTY keyboard with keys from the surface. E-LEAD Bluetooth Lazy PadThe E-Lead Bluetooth Lazy Pad is an excellent product for those who have a combination and Bluetooth mouse for the laptop or Netbook. Do not ask me why you want someone that people prefer, remote action, I guess.

For those who like wireless action, then enjoy the Bluetooth function. Of course, some of you have laptops or Netbook, which are not using Bluetooth, happiness, you can connect to the keyboard via USB. The battery in this keyboard is a 500mAh that is capable of up to 8 hours of use.

I see a little problem with this product. You will notice in the middle of the keyboard is a kind of fold, but the framework does not look like something in. What is curious is the “Mouse” segment of the device is located underneath the keyboard, which means that You ‘ll need to flip, if it is you want to use the touchpad on the other hand, is accompanied by a couple of buttons (left and right click, of course).

I also think that this is misleading Lazy pad. I have no idea why E-Lead Electronics has extended its product Lazy pad, because I see nothing lazy. After all, if we call this Bluetooth keyboard and mouse pad a lazy, it means that any remote or mobile device is inherently a product of culture lazy?

Unfortunately, I believe that it is true. Yes, our appliances and electronic devices make us lazy. I can not, if a product comes with a name that describes our culture too well.

HP has announced the launch of the new display technology with Electronic Skins, or Eskin. The Eskin is a flexible reflective color film may be based on a variety of devices – including mobile phones, digital cameras, MP3 players, notebooks and Netbook.This new device architecture is compatible with roll-to-roll plastic circuits which, in combination with proprietary, electrically controllable, “Colors” to pressure performance, such as color and transparency. Using a technology such as color printing, HP is developing the ability to produce special “ink” colors in the PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM range.
