Nikon makes D3s official with ISO 102,400 sensitivity

Nikon makes D3s official with ISO 102,400 sensitivity

Nikon, as now expected, the morning D3s. The upgrade to the mainstay Pro DSLR adds 720p, 24fps video like the D300s before but it is mainly due to its vastly improved sensitivity to light. The 12-megapixel camera is one of the first to shoot up to ISO 12,800 will be set at normal settings and also manually to shoot at ISO 102,400 – four times the original D3 and other top-level DSLRs.

Such improvement can produce better recordings, concerts, nightly news events or any other situation where a blur-free-kick is critical, but the appeal of a flash is not an option, according to Nikon.

Added sensitivity comes into play also in the movie mode because the user can draw on the full ISO range during recording and better capture low-light video. The camera can snap like JPEG photos in the middle of the video and basic editing on camera.

The picture quality still hangs on a 16-bit pipeline with 14-bit analog-digital conversion, but adjustments have the ability to D3s, improved to minimize chromatic aberration on the horizontal axis. A better system for removing dust and Sucher also a slight increase.

As before, the D3s relies on up to nine frames per second (11 at a lower resolution DX crop) and hinges on the same 51-point autofocus system and 3-D measurement system as shoot all the mid to upper range of previous Nikon DSLRs. Storage still hangs from two CF cards and should have the opportunity, RAW + JPEG on separate cards as well as the use of a card, either as overflow or backup.

The D3s should ship in late November for $ 5200 and will be in early December by a new follow-DX mount lens, the AF-S 85mm f3.5G ED VR. It always should still work with an FX-mount camera like the D3s and the camera is designed to provide either a physical point of view, while still allowing close-ups.

Pocket Album Deluxe from Digital Foci

Pocket Album Deluxe from Digital FociThe Pocket Album Deluxe features a 2.8 inch OLED display which is the beauty of digital photo files with a contrast of 10,000 to 1 Download the images on the Pocket Album Deluxe was simply because the framework is a special software that the user does not need a CD.

This program works out of the box. All users must simply plug in the Pocket Album Deluxe in his or her computer via USB to Mini USB cable and the software can be downloaded from there.

I could not accept the images to the frame, without downloading the program. This is unlike most picture frames, which are often recognized by the computer as a thumb drive.

The Pocket Album Deluxe has some other interesting features like a calendar and various slideshow options. Although it can not be considered as the original keychain pocket album, it is easy to transport, and comes with a carrying case and stand.

Now Ricoh has gone and offered them for the broad mass of consumers with its latest Digi-Cam, the CX1, the creation of a “dynamic range Double Shot” mode, almost simultaneously two images with different exposures, then automatically connects them to the best pieces of both. It has a 9-megapixel CMOS sensor fronted by a 7.1x (28-200mm) lens and a 3-inch LCD display.

VGA videos are a bit disappointing, these days, but 120 images per second can be tracked, that resolution, which is good news for the Slow-Mo-junkies. UK release is in mid-March and we hope it will light up dim Stateside photographs at the same time.

Olympus is getting new Micro Four Thirds Cameras ready

Olympus Readying New Micro Four Thirds Cameras

There is a rumor, but it is a good. After the Russian website Photo Genius, Olympus has a few compact digicams Chunky line up for the launch, most likely at the PMA trade show in Las Vegas next March. Both are based on the Micro Four Thirds standard, the Panasonic Olympus double-team, which promises small SLR cameras.

The “leaked” information saying that the M-1, with a 3.2 “LCD, a 12-45 .4-3.5 lens that can shoot hi-def video up to 1080p, the M-100 with a 14-70 .5-5.6 lens. It is interesting that the M-100 is supposed to look like the concept, the Olympus camera at the Photokina show last September, the hot point looking up.

From what we can say that the cameras will have, despite their compact camera, interchangeable lenses, and there may be another lens announced shortly after the cameras – a 45-150 .8-4 with a reassuring exact Weight 550 grams (19 oz). As usual, we have to wait and see, but if this thing works so well as it looks, Olympus could have a hit.
